Natural resource forester/analyst

Sewall seeks a motivated and self-directed individual to perform forestry and natural resource analysis. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to be a part of our growing Forestry and Natural Resources group.

This position is intentionally being advertised with a range of qualifications, as we have flexibility relative to the range of skills that will best complement our current team. The successful candidate will bring between 2 to 5+ years of experience in forestry and/or the natural resources field in the northeastern United States. The position will require a demonstrated background in communications, research and analytical skills, and ability to function independently. The duties will entail resource analysis, GIS, map generation, forest management and planning for timber and non-timber objectives, and web-site maintenance. Position requires travel and field work. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in forestry, environmental science, or a related field with demonstrated proficiency in GIS skills. A background or experience in forest recreation planning and wildlife management is preferred. Salary, title and position level will be commensurate with demonstrated abilities, education and experience.
