OLD TOWN, MAINE

Engineers and Surveyors
Engineers and surveyors for our Engineering, Surveying and Utilities group. Photogrammetric Engineer
Photogrammetric engineer in our Aerial, Imaging and Photogrammetric Services group located in Old Town, Maine. This person will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the areas of aerial data acquisition, exterior orientation processing, and photogrammetric project planning. The successful candidate will have:

  • BS in surveying engineering or equivalent geospatial engineering degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience performing technical planning, processing, and analysis of photogrammetric projects
  • Familiarity with ABGPS, IMU, AT, and digital camera processes and technology
  • Experience developing technical workflow processes and documentation
  • Ability to communicate technical issues in a concise and comprehensible manner

A Certified Photogrammetrist is preferred. This position reports to the Vice President of Aerial, Imaging, and Photogrammetry Services. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume outlining experience and credentials to: Photogrammetric Engineer.

Mapping Technicians
Technicians with computer skills. Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation a plus. Duties include converting hardcopy schematics to a digital format. Must be organized and detailed oriented and have the ability to work in a production environment. Openings are for the evening shift. Engineering Technician Level III
Engineering technician with 3+ years of AutoCAD experience, including training
in 3D. Experience should include road layout and design, site layout for large retail
developments, subdivision layout and design, and building plans. Other desired
experience includes document quality control, plan take-offs and cost estimating and field
construction overview. Working knowledge of Word and Excel is also desired. An
associate’s degree in a drafting/engineering-related field is preferred. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and a resume outlining experience and credentials to Engineering Technician.

Geospatial Business Development--Inside Sales
Experienced business developer for cross-disciplined geospatial applications and solutions within government, natural resources, and engineering arenas. Successful candidate will work in-house to develop business relationships and generate new opportunities. Working closely with operations, marketing, and outside sales, this person will be responsible for creating customer-centric solutions with new and existing accounts.

This position requires:

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining a client relationship pipeline in the geospatial arena
  • Ability to work opportunities start to finish
  • Excellent follow through, group presentation, and proposal development/writing skills
  • Process orientation with the ability to work well within a defined sales process and culture
  • Strong collaborative skills with operations

A minimum of 2 years' experience in business development, sales, product marketing, or client relationship management is desired. An undergraduate degree in the geospatial field is preferred, with knowledge of software systems, web services, and databases desired. Working knowledge of mainstream GIS software a plus. Project Manager--Photogrammetry
Project Manager for Sewall's Aerial, Imaging, and Photogrammetric Services located in Old Town, Maine.

Requirements include:

  • Proven track record of proficiently managing photogrammetric-related mapping projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of experience in a geospatial related field, including at least 2 years of project management.
  • Experience and knowledge of photogrammetric and digital ortho imaging processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience with digital aerial acquisition systems and/or LiDAR is a plus. This position, which reports to the Vice President of Aerial, Imaging, and Photogrammetric Services, offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including relocation. Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer
Senior water/wastewater project engineer. The candidate must possess strong technical experience and sales and marketing skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to project development, client relations, design, and construction coordination of water/wastewater projects. The candidate must be a registered engineer in Maine. Five years' experience in the water/wastewater industry is required. Forest Economist
Highly motivated individual to perform a wide variety of forest economics functions for a very diverse client base. Sewall is a growing, diverse company that offers forestry consulting complemented by strong GIS and aerial photography capabilities, and this position is an excellent opportunity for professional development. The basic functional areas for the successful applicant are economics, investment analysis, and natural resource appraisal. Bachelor's degree in forestry or related degree and Master's degree or higher in resource economics or business are required. NORTHEAST REGION--LOCATION NEGOTIABLE

GIS Consultant for Northeast Utilities Market
Full-time career opportunity for a consultant with experience in the development and deployment of GIS solutions for utility operators and the integration of GIS with other utility Operations Support System (OSS) applications. The successful applicant will work as a member of the utilities services team and provide consulting services and client management for customers in the northeastern United States, Quebec and eastern Ontario Provinces. The location for this position will be central to the region with a preference for southern New England (Massachusetts or Connecticut).

This individual will perform a variety of tasks relating to the analysis, design, development, and deployment of information systems solutions for utility companies. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Participate in sales calls, proposal development, customer interviews and presentations.
  • Analyze and document requirements associated with implementation, replacement, or enhancement of systems and/or processes.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with company and customer peers to develop design specifications for systems and associated processes.
  • Work with peers to develop and analyze logical and physical data models.
  • Provide client and project management support to project teams.
  • Work with peers to develop strategies to support the organization’s objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of utility GIS functionality and its integration with utility business processes, leadership capabilities, solid written and verbal communications skills, creativity and problem solving skills.

    Additional requirements are:
  • At least two years' experience in the design, implementation, or deployment of utility GIS solutions. Experience in implementation and/or integration of WMS, OMS, MWM,Network Design, or Network Analysis solutions a plus.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS, Miner & Miner ArcFM and other industry-leading utility OSS applications.
  • Process analysis and design experience.
  • BS in engineering, computer science, or a relevant business discipline. Job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Solid desktop applications skills.
  • Ability to work independently to complete goals and initiatives.
  • Ability to travel. Travel requirements will vary, but may reach 50% if required to supportspecific customer needs.
